BREAKING: Wilmette Village Board approves HODC

As a sociology course, we have been following this issue for the past three years, so it was rewarding to see a resolution. Mrs. T and I attended last night's meeting, but had to leave before the final decision was rendered. Here is a clip of one of the more dramatic moments in the process: CLICK HERE and advance to 2:02.

Here are Mr > B's notes. Notice that the HODC presentation was scheduled to be 10 minutes long with a 5-minute Q & A, but because the Board asked so many questions, the time period stretched to almost 90 minutes!

And the results, live-tweeted by Kathy Routliffe of the Pioneer Press:

Your notes should be detailed regarding the proposed HODC development at the American Legion location, quoting where possible:
  • What kinds of arguments are made for the development?
  • What kinds of arguments are made against the development?
  • Who is in attendance? Neighbors of the development? Advocates? How many people are there?
